For me, there is nothing quite like capturing the history of a family…
..And I ❤️ the Watkins!
I would say toddlers are a really fun age to photograph, and little Mila did not disappoint with her bright personality. You will notice that during this Lema Ranch family photoshoot she was nowhere near camera-shy! Because Mila is growing up so quickly and these years are precious, Jacob and Debora asked me to do a family session to capture this memorable season of their lives!
I’ve known Jake for around fifteen years! We grew up in a small town in the good ole’ state of Minnesota! Debora I’ve known for about eight years, I met her here in Redding, California. I like to imagine that I’m responsible for the beginning of their relationship as I do believe I introduced them to each other.
Something that I treasure and that is unique about this family is that I’ve had the absolute honor of helping tell their story from the very beginning! My camera and I have seen them through many seasons, from getting engaged, to standing hand in hand on their wedding day, all the way to now - a beautiful family of three!
Something you will notice in the images for this Lema Ranch family photoshoot is that they feel natural and organic, you might even be looking at them and think, “these guys are really cute and seem comfortable in front of the camera!” Well, I believe a good photographer can capture the essence of the people in front of them and reflect their beauty in the images captured.
Fun fact about these photos:
This Lema Ranch family photo shoot took place on a light rainy day which made for some dreamy edited images, all that to say, sometimes you don’t need a sunset to have the wonder of your family captured!
